Penny Garvey, Chief Executive Officer Heal For Life (WA) Inc
“Myalup Pines provided a unique, wonderful safe environment that was close to nature but also included everything to suit our purpose. Caretakers Marie and Roy not only went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed but were also very respectful of the childrens need to feel 'safe'. We cannot commend them enough for their efforts and manner during this week.”
Nicola, Dave and family
“We're relatively new to Australia from the UK and were keen to experience a 'typical Aussie' holiday in a bush setting. Our stay at Myalup Pines Cottages was truly memorable and we can't wait to bring our visiting relatives at the next opportunity. Thank you.”
Lisa, Lino, Emily and Ava G'
“What a great place to bring the kids! Once they understood there was no pay-tv, computer games or wi-fi in the cottage they went outside to play and had the 'best time ever daddy'. We're so glad places like this still exist for family holidays in a beautiful natural setting.”
M Howard
“Myalup Pines has been a favourite place for our family and friends for many years. The rustic cottages amongst the gum trees is perfect in the early morning with a morning cuppa. Sitting with friends here is the best... The birds sing and the world is a simpler place. There are numerous places to visit nearby so you have no reason to get bored. The hosts are most welcoming and we love to share an story and a drink with them too. This place is a treasure... love it!”
ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
Nestled within the Myalup pines forest, Lions Myalup Pines Cottages is a not-for-profit Lions project offering affordable, low-impact accommodation in a peaceful nature setting, just 150 kilometres south of Perth.
Originally built in the 1930s to house forestry workers, the cottages have been preserved and repurposed to provide a sustainable community resource. The site is leased from the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions and is managed by a volunteer board of Lions, ensuring the focus remains on service rather than profit.
The village comprises seven rustic timber cottages, each with its own kitchen and bathroom, making it ideal for families, schools, community groups, and Lions camps. A strong emphasis is placed on environmental stewardship, with strict protections in place to safeguard local wildlife and forest ecosystems.
Lions Myalup Pines Cottages reflects Lions’ commitment to environmental responsibility, community access to nature, and responsible land management, creating a place where people can reconnect, learn, and enjoy the natural environment.
